Happy Birthday to Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao – Founder of GMR Group

Today is the birthday of Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao. He is the founder of GMR Group, the great legendary man who was born in India on 14 July also who belongs to Arya Vysya Caste.

 

On this occasion, I like to wish him on his 70^th Happy birthday to Sri Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao through my Deccan Vysya Blog - Deccan Vysya Patrika (1937) and this is Maddali Laxmi Swetha, MBA (HR), great granddaughter of Kavikishora Javvaji Subbaraya Gupta who was the founder of Deccan Vysya Patrika in the year 1937 and I am the writer/owner of this blog.

A small introduction about Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao:

GMR was born on 14 July 1950, Rajam in Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh, India. Born in an upper middle class of a gold business family.

Graduated from Andhra University

He founded GMR Group. GMR GROUP is an Indian infrastructure development company which was established in the year 1978. At present Headquarters is in New Delhi, India.

In the year 1985, G. Mallikarjuna Rao became the major shareholder of Vysya Bank.

GM Rao has received the Economic Times Entrepreneur of the year Award in the year 2007.

 

Charitable list of Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao:

In 2012, he donated ₹1,540 crores for charitable purposes.

In 2013, he donated ₹740 crores.

He was named as a third generous donor of corporate India for the year as per the China's Harun Report Inc.

My philosophy has always been to ‘run family like a business, and business like a family’. I believe that it is every human being’s responsibility to give back to the society – it should be ‘Individual Social Responsibility’.

Vysya Bank has become ING Vysya Bank in the year 2002 and it had been ranked the "Safest Banker" by the New Indian Express and among "Top 5 Most Trusted Private Sector Banks" by the Economic Times.

At present ING Vysya Bank is merged with Kotak Mahindra Bank, India.

Also, most of the employees in Vysya Bank are from Vysya Community.

AEROPLANE - FIRST TIME I TRAVELLED IN AEROPLANE - BANGALORE TO HYDERABAD – July 7, 2021

[3 States – 569 Km – Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana]

[Only 1 hour 25 minutes journey on Aeroplane, travelled with my parents]

I woke up at 7 Am in the morning and saw my mother who cooked all the food items for the journey and my father arranged all the bags.

 

After that, I had a bath and dressed up and did puja for TULASI PLANT GOD and my parents did puja in the puja room in Bangalore in my brother home.

 

Mainly, before traveling - We will worship Tulasi plant God because the Tulasi indicates a gateway between heaven and earth.

My brother and his wife dropped us in Bangalore Airport (Kempegowda International Airport) by car.

I took and recorded all videos and pictures of my journey with my cell phone - Samsung M12 Mobile Camera. See the clarity of image.

From my brother home to the airport, it took a one-hour journey. This is the Bangalore airport - Kempegowda International Airport. See the image below:

So, now the question start’s - How to travel in Aeroplane, what is the procedure to travel in Aeroplane, and way to go to Aeroplane.

 

Step 1: How to book airline tickets?

You have to book your tickets online - Airlines ticket booking. Just search on YouTube - about how to book flight tickets. You will get all the information.

 

Step 2: How to travel in an Aeroplane?

First, when you reach Airport. You have to take – Airport luggage trolley which is there at the beginning of the gate and you should arrange all your luggage into the trolley.

 

This is the departure gate in the airport.

Here, security people will check and take pictures of our boarding passes, our face, tickets with Aadhaar card, then they will allow us inside.

Boarding Pass: (a pass for boarding an aircraft, given to passengers when checking in)

Nowadays, an Aadhaar card is a must wherever you travel in India.

 

NOTE:

If there is any emergency that you want food to eat, there are some food stores to buy. But the prices in airport food are very high, it’s better you can carry your own food which is made in your home.

After going inside the airport, you will find – Domestic Bag Drop.

 

You have to check the number which is written in your boarding pass where to hand over your bags.

 

Remember:

You have to drop your bags at least 30 minutes before departure for domestic flights and 90 minutes for international flights. See the domestic bag drop picture how it looks.

 

Only 15 kgs of bag are allowed in domestic bag drop and it is also mentioned in Airport ticket too.

If you want to use the toilet, you will find this board that will show directions. See the image below.

After handing over the bags, you have to go up. See the image below:

Again, there will be an entry security check. You have to show your boarding passes, your face, tickets with an Aadhaar card, the bags, electronic items which you carry should be kept in box and computer will scan it.

Again, there will be an entry point here. So, go soon and get your bags, cell phone, camera, your money, etc. – This is a very fast checking point. 

Once you enter inside, you can relax there, you can spend money and time in purchasing gifts for your family, you can have food, watch television – DD INDIA Channel.  You can stay there until your flight time starts.

Here, there will be a board in which all flights number, and places are written. Here you have to go according to it and find your Aeroplane gate.

Our plane name is indigo, gate number is 28 

Again, there is an entry point – to go directly to the inside of the Aeroplane.

Here, you have to show - your boarding pass and ticket number and place name. They will give you a Passenger safety kit. See the images below:

 

Passenger Safety kit will have face mask, mouth mask, Savlon Sanitizer packs and middle seat persons will have additional safety kit.

After some time, they will announce – instructions How to go inside to Aeroplane? They will call number-wise, then only we are allowed.  Line wise everyone has to go. See the image below:

If you need any help – you have to press the button which is there above your head. Once you press the button, the Air hostess will arrive at your seat.

 

Before take-off time, they will say how to use the Oxygen Mask which is in yellow colour. I didn’t find it, just go to Google and search for oxygen masks. You will know more about it.

Remember:

There will be a connection between one flight to another flight, Aircraft Pilot will have clear communication when take-off time on sky. Don't be afraid at take-off time and landing time.

After an hour we have reached - Hyderabad Airport (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport) it’s a landing time image and video:

Here, you can see the Hyderabad airport and a lot of airplanes appear in the below video.

This is the aeroplane we have travelled, and see the images below - How we come out from the plane and once we have come out of the plane immediately – you should catch the bus.

 

And you have to reach - Baggage Carrying Belt and get your bags. If you miss your bags, you have to give a compliant or information to the authority department that you have missed your luggage.

After you take your bags, you can go slow and spend time in Hyderabad airport.

 

NOTE: There are so many travel car companies to travel to your home.

Once you take your bags, you can go slowly to the out gate. Here, you will see this beautiful Art Statue with different colours that shines. See the image below:

Beside this statue you will find bathrooms and baggage carrying belt - International Airlines and you find the exit gate.

 

Here see in the below image: I have seen a plant with City Union Bank advertisement. 

Once you come out – On the left side of the exit gate there is foreign money exchange store available, there you can exchange your money. But before exchanging your money ask them the current dollar value. See the image below:

Here, we have purchased and ordered some snacks. Also, we had our home food which we brought and cooked at home.

 

Compared to Bangalore Airport here in Hyderabad Airport the food prices are affordable and reasonable.

I said in the above lines that we can carry our own food which is cooked at home.

My mother has cooked tasty foods – Rice Rava Polihora and Daddojanam. (These two foods are famous in south India, also these two food items are famous during festival days which you can just Google it, you can know more about these tasty foods).

After eating you can throw the wastage cover in the dustbin. Here, Hyderabad dustbin look like this see the image below:

Only dry waste is in the blue colour box and wet waste is in green colour box very easy to identify.

After we completed our food. My father booked a car – Uber Car online. See the image below. And how to find out gate see the images below:

Some people are staying outside with company boards to receive their customers. They write a note on a paper and stand here like this. See the images below:

If you want any medical help – Apollo pharmacy centre and Mapmygenome centre are there inside the airport.

While going down you will find some more ATMs centres, Supermarkets, etc.

Once you come down: You will see this arrow marks with electric board:

You can choose city bus service, cars to travel to your home.

Radio Cabs,

Ola Cabs, etc.

NOTE: On the board you will see - free shuttle to international departures way, you will find bathrooms on that way. Here you have to pay money and use toilets. 

As we booked car, we have waited here for very few minutes – After purchasing fresh curd and Thums UP cool drink in this Ratnadeep super market and we left. The out-gate way is there beside this supermarket.  

And this is my happy journey – First time I travelled in an Aeroplane from Bangalore to Hyderabad in India and this is my first experience.
