Javvaji Ranganadha Guptha and his father Kavi
kishora Javvaji Subbaraya Gupta, Founder of Deccan Vysya Patrika (Since
1937)) also my father (MVG Krishna Murthy) and his father Maddali Venkata Subba Rao (Trust board chairman for Podili Oldest
Siva Temple), by my remembering old memories.
Story
1:
Late Javvaji Ranganadha Guptha,
when he was a small kid around 6 to 8 years old age his father Kavi kishora
Javvaji Subbaraya Gupta took him to Gandhiji Uppu Satyagraha event in India.
And Subbaraya Gupta told to his
son Ranganadha Guptha to touch Gandhi’s feet but on that time every state people
and standing in huge crowd. Subbaraya Guptha has made signal to touch his feet.
So, this little kid didn’t
understand and watching his father body movements also by watching his father
face. But on the sudden the kid touched and fell on the Gandhi’s feet.
After that, Subbaraya Guptha made
a lot of sounds arrangements while going to home and said everyone in the
street / town to see - his little kid who touched the Gandhi’s feet.
After that his mother Late Javvaji Venkata Subba amma asked her
kid – Did you really touch Gandhi feet?
With the tiny small little crying face also tiny smile – he said I didn’t touch
- someone pushed me from back and I fallen on his feet. Everyone surprised also
started laughing J and kissing his tiny
little hands.
But after British left India,
one day Indian Rupee notes are publishing with Gandhi face on each and every
note on those days. So, my grandfather late Javvaji Ranganadha Guptha said he
seen Indian national father in my life and touched Mahatma Gandhi feet with my both
hands.
